Digital collaboration to transform connectivity in Vietnam and Australia
CSIRO and partners are leveraging existing partnerships, digital tools, and unique data sets to transform connectivity in Vietnam.
Digital technologies and collaboration can transform connectivity in the agriculture, transport and logistics sectors in Vietnam, with benefits for Australian trade. The project aims to support Vietnam’s efforts for digital transformation in the transport sector by leveraging existing partnerships, digital tools, unique data sets and achievements of CSIRO, the World Bank and local partners.
Over a two-year period, a series of COVID-compliant workshops and roundtables with CSIRO, government, private sector partners and the World Bank will develop a series of practical use-cases to address known challenges. This will be interspersed with analytical work packages led by CSIRO, where the CSIRO Transport Network Strategic Investment Tool (TraNSIT) and Vietnam’s Commercial Vehicle Tracking System (CVTS) will be used to analyse potential bottlenecks in export supply chains important to both countries.
This is one of 28 small-scale projects to create economic opportunities in Vietnam and deepen business cooperation – part of an Australian Government $2.5 million program.
