A knowledge synthesis to inform a national approach to fighting extinction

November 11th, 2021

CSIRO is co-leading a NESP Threatened Species Recovery Hub project for a national scale response to Australia’s species extinction crisis.

Through bringing together information on species threats, response actions, costs of actions and co-benefits, this project estimates for the first time the scale of effort and resources needed to recover Australia’s threatened species across their potential range.

The products created, such as species threat information and action cost models, can be used to guiding decision making, by including important additional information on landholder and stakeholder aspirations, Indigenous leadership and nature’s benefits to people.
