Facilities

The team’s activities are underpinned by a number of specialised facilities and capabilities, the Coating Application Facility for wet paint, powder coatings, paint booth, and robotic spray, the Coating Adhesion Testing Facility for aerospace, cross-hatch, water jet and ice adhesion testing. In addition the team has experts in surface treatments such as UV, Corona, flame and weathering and durability testing which includes QUV, Q-Sun and a thermal cycle chamber.
