Accelerating Deployment of Intelligent Sensors

Using alternative sensing modes this project will enable improved development of sensor data analytics. Please read on to learn about another sensor goal.

The Problem

We aim to create new algorithms and software tools for sensor networks that enable faster and more efficient development of advanced in-situ sensor data analytics in real-world applications.

Our Solution

Today’s sensing platforms are becoming more ubiquitous, integrated, and multi-purpose (multimodal). Our project leverages this opportunity to adopt a new paradigm of ‘effortless’ multimodal sensing. Specifically, we aim to devise methods that reduce the data collection and annotation efforts needed for training AI systems that operate on top of these sensing platforms, a goal that will effectively speed up the deployment of multimodal sensing in many real-world applications.
