Meeting with Minister of Science and Technology

Last week, Australian Ambassador Andrew Goledzinowski had a courtesy call with Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat, further promoting the bilateral relationship between the two countries in science, technology innovation (STI).

 

During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed his honour to be invited to speak at two high-level STI events during his very first week in Vietnam – the AI4VN Summit discussing direction for development of AI technology in Vietnam, and the National Conference on Science Technology Market Development led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. He also praised Vietnam’s progress in innovation, especially with the introduction of a national strategy for STI development until 2030, and updated the Minister on Australia’s plans for innovation support in Vietnam after 2022.
