Launch starts a fruitful innovation partnership in the South
Next time you bite into your favourite tropical fruit, you might be able to taste innovation and collaboration as well as a delicious flavour.
As part of our Aus4Innovation program, the Southern Horticulture Innovation Club was launched last week in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Innovation Club will promote innovation, share information, technology and opportunities and collaborate on challenges facing the horticulture industry in Vietnam’s southern provinces.
Together, researchers, businesses, government and farmers will also explore and design new ways to deliver their fruit and vegetables into international markets.
The Club is hosted by the Institute of Agricultural Sciences for Southern Vietnam, and in just two months, over 450 farmers, cooperatives and small businesses have joined.

New office space for the Innovation Club was unveiled at the launch, provided by the Institute of Agricultural Sciences of Southern Vietnam.
The Innovation Club is convened by the Institute of Agricultural Sciences for Southern Vietnam. In just two months, over 450 farmers, cooperatives and small businesses have joined the Innovation Club and its online information exchange activities.
