The Commercialisation PLUS How-to Guide, which was digitally launched by #Aus4Innovation last year, is now also being delivered in hard copies to universities and research institutes nation-wide to help them improve their research practicality.
The Guide offers a comprehensive set of tools and methods to take researchers through a structured commercialisation process, tailored to Vietnam’s context to help them connect their research with the market, creating more commercially viable and sustainable products.
This is the result of a two-year collaboration between experts from CSIRO Australia and the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialisation Development (NATEC), as well as researchers from Vietnam’s public research institutes.
The Commercialisation PLUS guidebook with 9 concrete steps will take researchers through the commercialisation process with details tailored to the Vietnamese context to ensure research results can be applied to real life. Can Tho University (CTU) is a key knowledge institute in the southwestern region of Vietnam and a trusted partner of many local authorities. Aus4Innovation has supported CTU in commercialising two research works: an accurate automated shrimp processing technology and a low-cost water quality monitoring technology for aquacultureAus4Innovation has been in close cooperation with Vietnam National University in Agriculture as this is the focal education and research institute in agriculture and food in Vietnam, hoping to influence the mindset of future researchers to always think about commercialisation in their workVietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) is a pioneering research body in Vietnam with many interesting research projects, including a nano fertiliser that helps plants adapt to drought stress, or using rice husk and biofilm as an environmentally friendly solution to remove oil and other pollutants from industrial waste water
