June 18th, 2024

Recently, Hanoi National University’s University of Law hosted an informative seminar on “Responsible Artificial Intelligence in Education”, supported by the Aus4Innovation program. This is the first of a series of thematic workshops about responsible AI in different industries, including healthcare and agriculture.

Through enlightening presentations and discussions, the seminar painted a comprehensive picture of AI’s potential in education, such as personalized learning – tailoring pace, content, and style to each student’s unique needs. But it’s not just about smart tech. The event had a strong focus on responsible AI, stressing the importance of responsible principles, for all actors in education, ensuring that AI serves everyone fairly and responsibly.

In addition to the core values of technology, the application of artificial intelligence in education has potential legal, social and ethical risks. Guidelines on Responsible AI are therefore urgently needed to promote research, development and application of AI responsibly in education.

Here’s to a future where education is not only smarter but also more responsible!
