Boosting partnership in innovation
Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO, and Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology have been strategic partners since 2017. The two parties regularly exchange experiences and ideas to help each other build a strong innovation ecosystem.
While visiting Australia last week, Minister for Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat together with Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Nguyen Tat Thanh and a Vietnamese delegation were welcomed at CSIRO.
Elanor Huntington, CSIRO’s Digital, National Facilities & Collections Executive Director, stated, “Our collaboration through the #Aus4Innovation program has been immensely successful in pioneering innovation across Vietnam. I hope we will continue to expand our relationship to broaden opportunities in other areas, further cementing our role as a trusted partner in science and technology to Vietnam,” she said.
The delegation met with scientists to delve into impressive work in cotton crop improvement, as well as learning about pioneering science in the development of new protein products and ingredients.
