Australia supports a Zero-plastic-waste future

With March 30 marking the International Day of Zero Waste, we are reminded that urgent action is needed to shape a cleaner, greener future for all.

That is why the Mekong-Australia partnership is proud to support CSIRO’s Indo-Pacific Plastics Innovation Network (IPPIN), a network and program focused on tackling our global plastic waste crisis.

Last year we saw many exciting innovations emerge from the program, like UpGreen Vietnam who transform recycled plastics into stylish and eco-friendly products. This women-led start-up has created 5000 jobs in the plastic waste management and artisan sector.
