Ambassador Mudie presents water filtration system to flood victims in Central Vietnam
We recently announced that #Aus4Innovation funded partnership, UTS Rapido Vietnam, had re-designed its water filtration systems to turn flood water into safe water for those affected by the terrible floods in central Vietnam.
The first batch of these systems has already been delivered to Ha Tinh province and, this week, Ambassador Robyn Mudie officially presented another batch to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for further distribution. The systems will provide 70 households and one childcare center with clean water as they recover from the flooding.
The Ambassador expressed deep condolences to the loss of life and damage caused by these unprecedented natural disasters. She also stressed that Australia will continue to stay a reliable partner and a devoted friend to Vietnam. Donation of the water filtration systems is in addition to aid of AUD2.1 million already announced by the Australian Government to help Vietnam respond to the impacts of prolonged, widespread floods and landslides.
