Advancing sustainable agriculture through innovation
In celebration of Australia’s National Science Week, we are proud to spotlight the transformative partnership between Australia and Vietnam in Science, Technology, and Innovation.
At the recent seminar on “Digital Transformation and Application of Artificial Intelligence in Sustainable Agriculture,” groundbreaking solutions addressing agricultural sustainability and climate resilience were highlighted.
Under the Carbon Smart Farming Project in Thanh Hoa Province, an innovative AI-powered digital twin platform is being developed to help farmers monitor and predict soil carbon, and adopt climate-smart practices. These advancements will not only boost sustainability but also unlocks new economic opportunities, such as access to carbon credit markets.
This project is a collaboration between Griffith University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, with strong backing from the Thanh Hoa Department of Agriculture and Environment and active engagement from local communities.
