Excited to share that for the second time, Aus4Innovation proudly sponsored the Sustainable Development of the Mekong Delta (SDMD) International Symposium in Can Tho.
Since 2022, we have been supporting this incredible SDMD-2045 Initiative led by Can Tho University to bring bright minds together to make the Mekong Delta a thriving, eco-friendly place for all.
This year’s forum focused on turning big ideas in industrialization and modernization into real action for sustainable growth in this important region in Vietnam. Think greener agriculture, smarter cities, and innovative education – that is what we are all aiming for.
Australia’s commitment and engagement in this endeavour continues to be strong! We are here to support Vietnam’s journey towards sustainability, every step of the way.
The SDMD 2045 forum features a variety of activities, including quarterly seminars and a bi-annual international forum, addressing critical, timely, and core issues that impact the Mekong Delta region’s sustainable development.
The Forum brought together representatives from the Government, local authorities and enterprises, knowledge institutes and international partners.
Dr. Minh Nguyen – representative of CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, introduced the mission, vision, and development direction of CSIRO.
Aus4Innovation has been a sponsor of the SDMD 2045 forum since 2022, including the Mekong Aquaculture Innovation Cluster which aims to stimulate innovation and create a competitive advantage for shrimp aquaculture through circular economy, digital transformation, green growth, and climate action.
