Monitoring health of Mekong Delta with earth observation
Known as the ‘rice bowl of Vietnam’, the Mekong Delta is a powerhouse of agriculture and a biological treasure trove.
As one of the most fertile regions in the world, it requires a global effort to make the region more productive, innovative, and climate-resilient.
Last week Boeing and Australia’s national science agency CSIRO held its fourth Advanced Earth Observation Forum in Vietnam. A jampacked two-days of discussion on how to introduce advanced Earth observation technology to support sustainable development in the Mekong Delta.
We hope ideas generated can be applied to make a real impact to people’s lives in Vietnam and beyond.
