Australia continues to support AI development in Viet Nam

Through our #Aus4Innovation program we are pleased to be sponsoring the Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Day (AI4VN) summit for the second time. AI4VN is an annual event hosted by Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Development since 2018. It has become a leading platform for cutting-edge research outcomes and innovative development in the field of AI and its applications for sustainable development.
 
Taking place in September with the theme of “AI for economic recovery and shaping the future”, there will be a series of workshops about AI application in the fields of finance, human resources and manufacturing, leading up to a final AI4VN Day. There will also be AI Awards (now open for applications) to acknowledge the most outstanding AI solutions and products, and an AI Tech Matching session to help connect AI researchers and developers with potential investors/buyers.

Dr Kim Wimbush, Director of Aus4Innovation in his speech at the press conference once again reaffirmed Australia’s commitment with supporting an innovation ecosystem in Vietnam, of which AI is an inevitable part.

The most remarkable event of this year’s AI4VN is AI Tech Matching with a total investment of up to AUD 60.000 from Aus4Innovation program. Based on selected products from AI Awards and satellite competitions, industry experts and corporates will evaluate and facilitate market connections in order to support potential products with continuous development and applications. 

Ministry of Science and Technology together with Aus4Innovation program held a press conference to announce the plans for AI4VN this year, along with all the activities within the framework of the summit.
