About ACC
ACC brings together over 30 scientists, based at Aspendale, with skills in the measurement of greenhouse gases, aerosols, reactive gases and ozone depleting substances. Our scientists also model atmospheric composition and chemistry at city to global scales.
Our modelling capability enables us to deliver emissions estimates and verification, forecasts and assessments, and climate forcings.
Our vision is to combine observations and modelling at local to global scales to provide knowledge on atmospheric composition and chemistry for the benefit of Australia, it’s neighbours and the global community.
ACC is comprised of the five teams that work together closely:

- Major greenhouse gases
- Aerosol and chemistry modelling
- Aerosols
- Reactive gases
