Phase 5
Monitoring and planning for next steps
Phase 5 represents the new stabilised yield potential where the site has settled and immediate tillage effects on nutrient release have dissipated. It transitions into a mature phase (approx. 5-8 years after initial amelioration) where yields subside, and constraints may redevelop. Consideration should be given to identification of residual or redeveloped constraints and re-amelioration, along with economic assessment of treatment effect and evaluation of the pros and cons of amelioration, including pay back.
