Management and agronomy post amelioration
The 1-2 years post amelioration transition phase is often characterised by soft soil, a large flush of nutrition, acute short-term wind erosion risk, crop seeding difficulties and high crop responsiveness. Hence, ameliorated soils need different management, particularly in regard to seedbed preparation and seeding, and herbicide and nutrient management.
