RHDV1 detection in Victoria

A quick update from our diagnostic lab: A sample collected in March 2020 from Melbourne, Victoria, tested positive for RHDV1 this week. Although RHDV2 is the dominant virus circulating in Australia, this is a timely reminder to make sure that vaccinations are up to date in pet rabbits to protect from RHDV1 and K5 viruses.
