Shalendra Sami Reddy: Senior Research Officer
Shalendra Sami Reddy is a Senior Research Officer in Horticulture and Vegetables at the Ministry of Agriculture and is based at Sigatoka Research Station in Fiji. As a Senior Research Officer in horticulture and vegetables, he leads vegetable research and development in Fiji.
Shalendra has 18 years experience working in the Fijian Ministry of Agriculture in crop and horticulture research. He is the Ministry of Agriculture coordinator for rehabilitation seed distribution to extension offices, farmers and other stakeholders. He is also working with New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries (NZMPI) on development of Export Plan Pathway for exporting agricultural produce to New Zealand markets.
Shalendra has a Bachelor Degree in Agriculture from the University of the South Pacific in Fiji as well as a postgraduate Diploma Certificate in Business Administration and a Diploma in Tropical Agriculture.
