Jeda Palmer: Researcher
Jeda is a Researcher with CSIRO Agriculture and Food and is based in Brisbane, Australia. She is passionate about transforming food systems to promote sustainable agriculture and preserve natural ecosystems.
Jeda’s research is focused on promoting a more sustainable relationship between the environment and food production. She has worked on projects aiming to increase agricultural productivity, enhance soil management, improve resource-use to reduce environmental degradation, and promote healthier diets for improved human nutrition and health. She has pursued this research across scales from local to global levels, with professional experience in Australia, and in multiple countries in Asia and Africa.
Jeda is also a Communications Specialist, leading communication strategies for a wide range of research projects for diverse audiences. She works to increase research impact, leveraging online and social media platforms to increase public awareness and engagement with research. She leads the communications for the Climate-resilient Agriculture in the Pacific project.
