Francesco Tacconi: Post-Doctoral Fellow

Dr Francesco Tacconi is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at CSIRO Agriculture and Food, based in St Lucia, Brisbane. As an agricultural economist, his work focuses on socio-economic analyses of farmers’ adoption of agricultural innovations and sustainable practices. He has worked on research projects in Australia, Brazil, Italy, and Southeast Asia.

As part of his Post-Doctoral research, Francesco contributes to the Climate-Resilient Agriculture in the Pacific project, conducting rural household surveys with taro farmers in Fiji (n=300) and Samoa (n=200) to assess production practices, key challenges, and levels of agricultural diversification and food security among self-subsistence and commercial farmers.
