Diogenes Antille: Project leader

Dr. Diogenes (Dio) Antille is a Senior Research Scientist of Soil Physics with CSIRO Agriculture and Food and the project leader for the Pacific resilient farming systems for climate change adaption and improved resource-use efficiency project.

Dio has expertise in the fields of soil and water management and engineering, and soil physics. Dio is interested in conservation agriculture and studying how management-induced changes to the soil physical environment influence nutrient cycling, soil water dynamics, and crop productivity.

Dio has over 20 years of professional experience in research, commercial work and practical farm management, and has worked in Australia and internationally (United Kingdom, Ireland, South America, and the South Pacific Islands). He is based in Canberra, Australia.
