June 2020

A fresh UU2 colony was established at the Tropical Weeds Research Centre, Charters Towers in February by eggs from the CSIRO Brisbane colony. By May 2020 this colony was large enough to begin mass releases using the pupal release method established in the previous MLA project (B.WBC.0060). In total 8,828 UU2 pupae were hand carried and released across 8 sites within western and central Queensland.
