Improving health through a food systems approach
We are bringing together researchers from the Pacific Community (SPC) and CSIRO to combine our strengths in addressing the challenge of building more nutritious food systems in our region.
A food systems approach to improving health and nutrition, specifically addressing the challenge of increasing rates of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), has been identified as a potential area of collaboration between SPC and CSIRO.
A discussion brief was prepared to frame discussions between SPC and CSIRO about how the two organisations can jointly tackle the nutrition challenge in our region: Nutrition and food systems in the Pacific.
