Kelsey Richardson

Kelsey was part of our team from 2016 to 2021 while she completed her PhD researching the amounts, types, fates and impacts of fishing gear loss from major commercial fisheries around the world. Her multidisciplinary research combined a quantitative and statistical approach to identify gear loss, with an examination of governance regimes that mitigate and manage gear loss. Her research highlighted effective offset strategies to reduce gear loss and its associated impacts.

Kelsey has since moved back to her homeland of the USA and we wish her all the best with her next adventure!
