Tim Robinson: Principal Scientist

Tim is Principal Scientist at the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO). He previously worked for the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), University of Oxford and Natural Resources Institute. He has over 20 years experience in spatial analysis, involving residential contracts in Kenya, Zambia and India and extensive travel in Africa and Asia. These are used in impact assessment and a variety of research applications exploring the social, environmental and health risks associated with an evolving, global livestock sector. These datasets involved research into: livestock distribution and abundance; production systems; supply and use of animal-source foods, now and in the future; livestock disease risk; demography; and poverty.
