Project description
This project investigates the impacts of climate change and land use change on water availability and quality in Southwest Australia. The expected outcome is to develop and assess management strategies to increase water yield and reduce sedimentation and evaporation losses. The project will support long-term water security for local communities and ecosystems.

Ideal student skillset | Essential skills A Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Environmental Science, with a strong focus on hydrological science. A solid understanding of hydrological processes, water resource management, and climate change impacts. Strong analytical abilities, effective communication skills, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively across interdisciplinary research settings. Desirable skills Knowledge of social science approaches, particularly related to water governance and policy. Experience with hydrologic modelling tools. Skills in participatory research and stakeholder engagement. |
