Video Training Series: Part 2 – Calculating Compression.

The IORA Indian Ocean Blue Carbon Hub is continuing its video series to explain how to generate good data about their carbon stocks, and the rates at which carbon is sequestered.

In the second video, now posted on our YouTube channel, Dr Mat Vanderklift and Dr Anna LaFratta demonstrate how to calculate the compression for a core retrieved from a seagrass meadow.

The videos are designed to be used in conjunction with manuals that explain the methods, such as the manual produced by the Blue Carbon Initiative.
