Update: Harvey 6 well drilled and completed

March 15th, 2024

CSIRO In Situ Laboratory Project team with RITE staff at the completed Harvey 6 well.

As a follow-up to the article last month, the Harvey-6 well spudded on February 26th and was completed to Total Depth of 700m MD on Friday 15th March morning on time, on scope and on budget. The fibre optic cables were successfully installed and are working to expectations. The well was added to the ISL monitoring system on the same day and has been operational since then.

Preliminary data acquisition analysis confirmed the cross-correlation of tiltmeters and distributed strain sensing datasets for the shallow subsurface. Preliminary temperature and strain data analysis of the cementing operations correlates with the anticipated depth of the fault system and drilling datasets.
