In-Situ Laboratory Project Achievement

We are excited to share that the Harvey 5 well has been successfully drilled at CSIRO In-Situ Laboratory research facility located in Cookernup.

Water Testing

With RITE back in onsite at the In Situ Laboratory (ISL) in August, a critical objective for this trip was to initiate a campaign of shallow water injection tests.

Harvey Shire visit

The CSIRO team involved in the research work at the In-Situ Laboratory invited the Shire of Harvey councillors and staff for a meet & greet at the site with the research team including the international visitors.

Update: Harvey 6 well drilled and completed

As a follow-up to the article last month, the Harvey-6 well spudded on February 26th and was completed to Total Depth of 700m MD on Friday 15th March morning on time, on scope and on budget.

New drilling activities at the In-Situ Laboratory

CSIRO and RITE are starting a new field demonstration project at the ISL research facility aiming at investigating the behaviour of fault systems and distributed fibre optic sensing monitoring in the context of CCUS projects.

Successful first installation of a dedicated strain sensing cable on a deviated well

CSIRO, RITE and Silixa have successfully completed the first installation of a strain sensing cable, at the CO2CRC site in Victoria, on the CO2CRC CRC8 deviated well in December 2023.
