Site Tour to ISL: creating ties between JERA and CSIRO

November 1st, 2024

On Friday, 25th October 2024, a delegation from JERA, both from JERA Australia and from the Japanese headquarters, visited the CSIRO In-Situ Laboratory (ISL) for a successful site tour, showcasing the latest advancements in carbon storage and monitoring technologies. The event, aimed at deepening collaboration between JERA and CSIRO, also highlighted our ongoing partnership with RITE.

CSIRO provided an overview of the laboratory and introduced key members of the team, setting the stage for a productive day. JERA’s representatives offered insights into their organisations mission, further strengthening mutual understanding.

The site tour was divided into three breakout sessions. Attendees learned about the laboratory’s wells and equipment, observed a live demonstration of CSIRO’s innovative monitoring technologies, and engaged in discussions on community and stakeholder engagement. Each segment of the tour provided a detailed look at how ISL operates and its role in advancing clean energy solutions.

This site visit not only reinforced the strong partnership between JERA and CSIRO but also opened doors for future collaborations aimed at developing sustainable energy solutions.
