African swine fever (ASF) is a highly lethal and contagious disease of domestic and wild pigs caused by the ASF virus.

Unfortunately, there is currently no vaccine to prevent this devastating disease and studies are lacking into ASF host-pathogen interactions.

The aim of this project is to investigate host-pathogen interactions of ASF, evaluate T cell responses to novel ASF vaccine candidates and develop a safe and effective ASF vaccine.

This work will advance our knowledge of ASF host-pathogen interactions and T cell immunity following ASF vaccination, which together will inform the development of a safe and effective vaccine for domestic pigs against ASF.
