Deciphering the interactions between proteins during immune signalling
In this project, Dr Tim Muusse will be developing a cell-based platform for the study of protein interactomes.
Our understanding of immune signalling – the dynamic interactions occurring within cells in the immune system – is far from complete. Likewise, we lack a detailed understanding of how the proteins in the inflammatory signalling pathway interact and function together.
In this project I will be investigating and deciphering the function of protein interactomes, the physical interactions between proteins involved in inflammatory signalling.
The long term aim of the project is to develop and validate a cell-based platform to enable the study of protein interactomes.
