• Two key requirements for the establishment of a hydrogen industry are outlined:
  • Development of international partnerships to help meet the planned growth in demand for hydrogen in the State
  • Quick and cost-effective establishment of hydrogen (transport network) infrastructure
• The Roadmap includes specific targets for 2025 and 2030 grouped into three sectors – Industry, Mobility and Energy & Infrastructure
• By way of example, mobility targets include:

2025 Targets

• • More than 400 fuel cell trucks
  • At least 20 truck hydrogen filling stations and 60 passenger car hydrogen filling stations
  • 500 hydrogen buses for public transport
  • The first hydrogen-powered barges to be on the way

2030 Targets

• • 11,000 fuel cell trucks over 20 tonnes
  • 200 hydrogen filling stations for trucks and cars
  • 1,000 fuel cell waste collectors
  • 3,800 fuel cell buses for public transport
