Biomarkers and Diagnostics

By examining the host's molecular response to these infections, we can identify new biomarkers to determine who is infected, even before symptoms develop. This will allows us to intervene earlier, decreasing both the transmission and mortality rate of these infections.

Therapeutic Development

Our immune system maintains a careful balance between health and disease. Dysregulation can lead to a myriad of diseases, including increased susceptibility to infection and cancer, as well as inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes and asthma.
