Pankaj R. Kaushik

Dr. Pankaj is a hydrogeologist and environmental scientist specializing in groundwater-surface water interactions, ecohydrology, and satellite data applications for water resources management. He holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from Griffith University, Australia, where his research focused on the Ecohydrology of the Great Artesian Basin using GRACE satellite data and geospatial analysis methods. He also completed a MS in environmental science (Water Resources) in Australia and a Bachelors in Applied Geology.
Dr. Kaushik has worked in both academic and industry settings across Australia and India, including positions in the oil, mining, and gas sectors. He has teaching experience and has been involved in STEM outreach activities in regional Queensland schools. His current research combines remote sensing, hydrological modeling, and ML/DL models to study groundwater sustainability and climate change impacts. He has published his work in peer-reviewed journals and supervising students working on interdisciplinary projects in AI and water science.
Outside work, Dr Kaushik enjoys travelling, trekking, playing badminton, following cricket closely, and occasionally chasing tennis updates.
