Justin Wu

Research Scientist

  • A geophysicist and geologist/hydrogeologist devoted to understanding the tectonics of our planet Earth and hydrological/hydrogeological systems.

Biography

Justin is a Research Scientist at CSIRO Environment. Before joining CSIRO in 2022, he had the opportunity to study/work at the University of Texas at Austin in the US and University of Melbourne. He has received his PhD in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2016.

Justin’s research focuses is on tectonics, geodynamics, structural geology and hydrogeology. He is fascinated by and deeply interested in the state and evolution of our planet Earth, particularly its sedimentary basins, orogenic belts, subduction systems, mantle convection and hydrogeological/hydrological systems.
