Biography

Dr Crosbie is a Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO and is a member of the Risks to Groundwater Resources team. Throughout his research career he has worked in several areas including water resources, climate change, salinity and water in the resources sector. This has involved working on high profile projects such as Sustainable Yields Projects (MDB, Northern Australia and Tasmania), the Water Information Research and Development Alliance (WIRADA) and the Bioregional Assessments Programme (BA & GBA). He is best known for his expertise in estimating groundwater recharge. He is the author (or co-author) of over 100 scientific publications.

Durba Springs

His recent work has involved investigating the impact of climate change on groundwater recharge in the Murray-Darling Basin, developing conceptual models of groundwater flow in Northern Australia and improving our ability to simulate transmission losses in rivers.
