At CSIRO, Paula’s work has mainly focused on water resources and water dependent ecosystems. She has contributed to significant research, including groundwater modelling to estimate recharge in major river systems, assessing the impacts of emerging industries on water availability and quality, analysing floodplain ecosystem responses to flood variability and gas industry development, and creating story maps to communicate hydrological findings. Additionally, she has supported ecological monitoring of endemic species and water quality assessments of marine ecosystems. Beyond her research, Paula has actively participated in workshops, international conferences, and field trips, collaborating with stakeholders in various roles.
