Biography

Dennis Gonzalez has a background in spatial data analysis and environmental science and worked for the South Australian State Government for several years before joining CSIRO in 2011. Dennis works mainly on water resource assessments and environmental impact analyses, applying spatial data integration methods to address surface water and groundwater hydrology, climate and water quality related research questions. Dennis’ expertise extends to managed aquifer recharge applications for urban and rural water supplies, drought resilience and environmental benefit. Dennis is also a part-time PhD student at the Australian National University Fenner School of Environment and Society where his research focusses on developing probabilistic methods for mapping managed aquifer recharge potential, and assessing the technical and economic viability of managed aquifer recharge systems under uncertainty.
