Uwe Grewer: PhD Student

Uwe is a PhD Student with the Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation (QAAFI) and CSIRO Agriculture and Food in Australia. His doctoral thesis focuses on bio-economic modelling of farming systems under climate change for ex-ante assessments of agricultural development policies.

Uwe is interested in the interface of econometric micro-simulation, bio-physical cropping system models, and data science. Through his work, he wishes to contribute to the decision-making process around national agricultural policy in developing countries by providing evidence-based simulation of policy impacts.

Prior to starting his PhD, Uwe worked with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on Climate-Smart Agriculture.
