Jess nominated for Science Prize
We are delighted that Jessica Bogard, our Nutrition Systems Scientist, has been selected as the Australian nominee for the prestigious ASPIRE prize by the Australian Academy of Science.
Jessica is passionate about linking knowledge from local food cultures with management approaches to food production systems, to help increase accessibility of healthy and sustainable food for vulnerable populations in low- and middle-income countries.
The ASPIRE prize recognises young scientists from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation member countries that are committed to science excellence and partnerships with other Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation member economies. The 2021 theme is ‘Diverse knowledge for a Sustainable Future’ and focusses on research on better management of natural resources, agricultural systems and healthcare and linkages between traditional and contemporary knowledge.
