The IMPACT model was developed to explore the challenges facing policymakers in reducing hunger, and poverty. IMPACT is a network of linked economic, water, and crop models. The central module is a partial equilibrium multi-market economic model, which simulates agricultural markets. The links to water and crop models support the integrated analysis of changing environmental, biophysical, and socioeconomic trends.
