Our contribution to the ‘Environment’ workshop for the 2nd Robotics Roadmap for Australia
As part of the second edition of the Robotics Roadmap for Australia several workshops took place in the first semester of 2020.
Led by Dr Sue Keay, these workshops extend her pioneer work in writing the first Robotics Roadmap for Australia during her work at the Australian Centre for Robotics Vision, at QUT.
As our Research Director, Dr Keay has been leading industry and research partnerships to help Australia harness the benefits of the robot economy.
In order to build on Australia’s strengths the roadmap looks at different sectors of the economy and acts as a guide to how Australia can support a vibrant robotics industry.
As part of this work, our Group Leader Dr Brano Kusy and Babble-sbf partner Brett Kettle recently took part in the Environment workshop, presenting our Vertigo Glider work for surveys in Great Barrier Reef as an example of Environmental Robotics.
You can watch the whole workshop below, with our team presenting from 00:18:20.
