Queensland Reconstruction Authority Resilience Framework
With our partners the Queensland Reconstruction Authority, we co-developed resilience narratives and a checklist to support the Queensland Strategy for Disaster Resilience.
Establishing a shared language, shared goals and shared understanding is critical to coordinating agencies’ efforts to build resilience. CSIRO worked with the Queensland Reconstruction Authority and a range of state agencies to design four visual ‘narratives’ to help talk about the complex systems that need to be understood by decision-makers in a common way.
This was supported by a Resilience Checklist – a standardised set of activities and practice to promote resilience. By using the Resilience Checklist, individual organisations can check their own approaches and contribute to collaboration and collective action to build resilience to reach common goals.
