Overview

OPAL accounts are used by the Astronomy community – for details please see the OPAL Users Guide.

In the DAP, OPAL accounts are used to

  • access embargoed data for ATNF Pulsar and CASDA observations where the OPAL user is a member of the project team associated with the observation
  • provide an email address for large (>2GB) downloads

Data that is not embargoed is publicly available.

To log in as an OPAL user, click on the Sign in drop down at https://data.csiro.au/ and select OPAL:
