Virus Image Search
Overview
ACDP Virus Image Search allows users to search for microscopy images using specific search criteria.
ACDP Virus Image Search
Users can use the following fields to search for the desired files:
Virus Family
Virus Family
ICTV and/or Baltimore classification of the virus family. Source of truth GRID.
Virus Species
The species of animal from which the original isolate was derived. This does not include tissue culture cells. Source of truth LIMs.
SAN Specimen Number
The SAN (Specimen Advice Note) is used by ACDP to track specimens. The “-Specimen No.” denotes the sample (eg. -1) and/or subsample number (eg. -1-2)within the SAN. Source of truth LIMs.
Multiple SANs can be entered into this field, commas separated, to enable you to find the results from several SANs in the one query and to allow a export of SANs from one system to be manually copied into the SAN field.
Specimen ID
Descriptive identifier for this specimen. Source of truth LIMs.
Host
The species of animal from which the original isolate was derived. This does not include tissue culture cells. Source of truth LIMs.
Cell
The ATCC tissue culture cell type (eg. VERO) or the animal tissue type (eg. LIVER) associated with the sample. Source of truth GRID.
Host Tissue/Sample Presentation
The method used to prepare and present the specimen (eg. SWAB) or animal tissue type (eg. LIVER) or the ATCC tissue culture cell type. Source of truth LIMs from field “Spec Type”.
Analysis Type
Analysis performed on the specimen. Source of truth LIMs.
Grid Box Location
The Grid Box number where the specimen is physically kept. Source of truth GRID.
Grid Ref1 Location
The coordinates within the Grid Box where the specimen is physically located. Source of truth GRID.
Resin Block Location
Historical data prior to 04/06/09. Describes the physical location of the resin block. Source of truth GRID.
Image
File Size
The size of the image file in bytes.
Filename
The name of the file that contains the Microscopy image.
Image Number
Plate number of manually scanned film negative. The number ”1” signifies an invalid entry. Source of truth iTEM.
Who
User
The name of the person who created the microscopy image.
Contact
The surname of the person who submitted the sample. Source of truth GRID.
Experiment Book
Historical data prior to 04/06/09. Describes the physical workbook page reference containing the record of the experiment associated with this image. Source of truth GRID.
How
Instrument
The make and model of the instrument used to create the microscopy image.
Instrument Type
The type of microscope used to create the microscopy image.
Scale Bar Represents
The measurement (nm or um) represented by the scale bar embedded in the image.
Configure Columns
This button allows the user to choose what columns to display in the search results page.

This option shows the filter facets that the search results can be filtered on.
