Forest Climate Risk Tool

The forest climate risk tool was designed to provide forest managers and researchers a web portal to access and evaluate future changes in growing conditions and plantation risk based on projections of climate change. The current version of the tool is a ‘proof of concept’ that presents a collection of climatic indices relevant for the forestry industry to conduct a climate hazard assessment across the major growing regions of southern Australia. The selection and presentation of relevant climate information was informed by marrying the latest research in forest-climate interactions with the needs of plantation managers.
