Lithium Battery Recycling in Australia
Our technical expertise is paired with world-renowned capabilities in socio-economic sciences to develop sustainable and feasible processes for recycling lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and other strategic urban wastes.
Research is underway to develop processes for recovering metals and materials that can support the transition to domestic recycling of LIBs. We aim to support Australia’s transition to a Circular Economy by developing new battery materials, innovative product design and development, and reuse of recovered materials for new batteries and electronic products.
